Madame Modjeska’s Fairytale – (digital film) 2020

Award-winning director, Annie Loui and her Southern California based physical theater company, CounterBalanceTheater present the worldwide premiere of Madame Modjeska’s Fairytale. This experimental short film based on Modjeska’s work, combines CounterBalance’s characteristic physical theater with charming story-book animation, hand-drawn illustrations from Modjeska’s original work, and site-specific footage from the beautiful canyon and estate that bears her name.

Premiered at the Edinburgh Festival, SCOTLAND August 2020.
In April 2021 Madame Modjeska’s Fairytale was Jury Selected , ClujShorts International Film Festival, ROMANIA.
